Serengeti Wild Camp
This is a fly-camp ie a mobile camp that is moved for environmental reasons once every 6 months. It is always located in, or near, the Seronera region of the Serengeti. This is the very heart of the park and is named after the Seronera River that flows through it. The Seronera abounds in wildlife all the year round making for excellent game drives and you will be able to sit under your tent verandah or dine watching the wildlife around you.

This is a real bush camp - do not expect all the facilities of a lodge such as running water and paved walkways. However you are rewarded by being able to live in the bush in the heart of the Serengeti. Accommodation is in large, airy, canvas tents with a verandah, elctric lighting, en-suite toilet and shower room. Each tent has two large beds with mosquito netting, windows also have netting to keep out dudus (inscts).

The dining tent has a bar and provides hot drinks at any time of day. Guests generally arrive in the evening after a game drive and can relax in the cool of the evening before dinner. Morning game drives are centred around the Seronera and can be arranged at any time on consultation with your driver-guide before of after breakfast. If you have ordered a balloon safari be prepared for a pre-dawn start to take you to the balloon launch site.

If you are staying at the camp for more than one night you will be served lunch in dining tent. You can then relax in the camp, enjoying the colourful birdlife, till your chosen time for an afternoon game drive.

Serengeti rules do not permit walking outside of the area of the camp.
