Olmoti Crater from Nainokanoka
A well made up trail leads through flower-filled woodlands, in about 40 mins to a viewpoint overlooking the rolling grasslands of the Olmoti caldera. Just below, all the streams in the caldera drain out through a breach in the rim. It is possible to descend to the breach where there is a fine waterfall (unless you come after a prolonged dry spell).

An even better view of the waterfall is obtained from the ridge on the far side of the breach. Apart from the fine views it is possible to see numerous birds of prey, zebra and bush buck that live alongside the Masaai and their cattle.

For strong walkers with more time the walk can be extended towards the main summit - Olmoti which itself is not a worthwhile objective. However along the way it is possible to follow the airy rim or drop down to visit seasonal Masaai manyattas. It is then possible to return to Nainokanoka camp by a good trail through beautiful woodland beside the Mungi Stream.

The return trip to the viewpoint takes just over an hour. The complete circuit visiting the manyattas and returning via Mungi Stream takes about 3 to 4 hours.
